Fun fact: maybe it’s just my area, but if you go to any Goodwill, chances are you’ll find their album “Kick” in the CDs somewhere. It’s in every thrift shop everywhere, and I’m not sure why, because the title song alone is pretty excellent.

That was one of my first CDs ever (thanks, Columbia House! $24.99 was a steal!). If there was a soundtrack to my 7th grade year, that was it. I even had the KICK t-shirt. Naturally, I had no idea what most of the songs were about, I just liked the music.

Naturally. You had to order your initial 10 discs from the limited list on the page, so you always found 5-6 you wanted, then you just gambled on the rest. My dad was the subscriber, and we teased him about Milli Vanilli and The Divinyls for years after that. Because 1990.
